7 Days, 1 Island, 4 Seasons: A Lap of Tasmania on Two Wheels

There’s no ride quite like a 2000km lap Tasmania — and our 7-day adventure proved exactly that. From torrential rain to sunshine, snow to sea spray, we experienced everything this wild island could throw at us… and loved every minute of it.

Day 1–2: West Coast Washout

We set off full of excitement, spirits high and tanks full. It didn’t take long before the infamous West Coast weather showed us who’s boss — torrential rain that could soak you to the skin in seconds. The roads glistened, rivers ran high, and yet the smiles never faded. True to form, the group pressed on, corner-man system working like clockwork and keeping everyone on track through the mist and mountains.

Day 3–4: Snow Over Derwent Bridge

Tasmania’s saying “four seasons in a day” isn’t a joke — and we hit the jackpot. Climbing up over Derwent Bridge, the rain turned to sleet, and before we knew it, we were riding through a dusting of snow. The scenery was breathtaking, the kind of moment that makes you forget cold fingers and just soak in the beauty of it all.

Day 5: Waves Over the Causeway

As if rain and snow weren’t enough, Mother Nature had one more surprise — waves breaking over the causeway at Sorell! It’s not every day you ride through salt spray on your way to dinner, but it made for one heck of a story and a few laughs once we were safely across.

Day 6–7: Sunshine and Snow to Finish

Just when we thought we’d seen it all, the sun came out to play — the perfect send-off. We wound our way up Ben Lomond with sunshine overhead and snow still clinging to the mountain. The contrast was magic.

By the time we rolled back into Launceston, we’d clocked up a week’s worth of memories — the kind that only come from great roads, great mates, and a few unexpected challenges along the way.

A Great Group, A Great Ride

The crew was sensational — everyone stuck together, rode smart, and embraced the adventure no matter what the weather threw at us. The corner-man system worked perfectly, and every trial along the way just added to the laughs and the stories we’ll be telling for years.

It was a tour that had it all — the full Tasmanian experience wrapped into seven unforgettable days on two wheels.
